Joensuu, Finland – Introduction to Somatics : experiential anatomy and the Feldenkrais Method – 1-4th September 2014

This one-week course serves as an introduction to the wider field of somatics and takes experiential anatomy and the Feldenkrais Method as specific examples of somatic practices. Alongside these practices there will be some short lectures and discussions. The aim of the week is to orient participants to somatic practices and open the possibility to integrate them into daily and working life situations.

Places are limited and are by application only. Please write a short email (300 words maximum) telling us why you would like to attend.

Classes: 1-4th September – Monday and Thursday 9.30-15.45, Tuesday and Wednesday 13.00-15.45 – (Tuesday 9.30-11.45 is a Contact Improvisation class that workshop participants may also join)

Studio: Papinkatu 5, Motora’s studio Motti.

Breaks: 11.45-13.00 lunch
